Matthew 28 Ministries exists to live out the Great Commission by serving others and sharing the hope of Jesus in practical ways. Each Friday, our doors open for Open Shop, where anyone can bring their vehicle for free repairs, enjoy a hot meal, and hear an encouraging message from God’s Word. It’s a time for connection, service, and sharing Christ’s love with our community.
Led by Kevin and Brie, the ministry brings together volunteers and neighbors alike to use their skills, hearts, and hands to bless others. Kevin leads in the shop, teaching and mentoring as he works, while Brie offers hospitality through meals and fellowship that make everyone feel at home.
At the heart of Matthew 28 Ministries is discipleship—walking alongside people as they grow in their faith and experience God’s grace in everyday life. Every repair, every meal, and every conversation is an opportunity to serve others and point them to Christ.
Our Story
Kevin and Brie have been married for 20 years and are the proud parents of seven boys, ranging from ages 19 to 2. Originally from Wisconsin, their journey of faith took a big turn twelve years ago when they felt God’s call to become missionaries and moved their family to New Mexico.
Over the years, they’ve served in a variety of ways—using their hands, hearts, and home to share the love of Jesus with those around them. Kevin, a skilled mechanic, and Brie, known for her gift of hospitality and her heart for people, have always sought to meet practical needs while pointing others to Christ.
Recently, God placed a new vision on their hearts—Matthew 28 Ministries. Through this ministry, Kevin and Brie hope to live out the Great Commission by serving their community, building relationships, and creating opportunities for discipleship and spiritual growth.
Their prayer is simple: that everything they do would reflect the love of Jesus and draw others closer to Him. They’re excited for all that God has in store and grateful for the chance to continue serving faithfully right where He has called them.

Who are we?

What do we believe?
We believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and in living out the Great Commission—serving others, making disciples, and showing God’s love through both our words and our actions.
What can I expect when I visit?
You can expect a warm welcome, a helping hand, and a meaningful experience. Everyone is invited to bring their vehicle—if you’re able, you can learn how to fix it yourself with guidance and oversight from Kevin and our volunteers. If you’re not able, we’re happy to take care of the repairs for you. Around noon, enjoy a hot meal and an encouraging message from the Bible. It’s a day of service, community, and hope.
How can I get involved?
There are many ways to be part of what God is doing through Matthew 28 Ministries! You can volunteer your time at Open Shop—whether by turning wrenches, serving lunch, or simply connecting with people who stop by. You can also partner with us through prayer or by giving to support the ministry. However you choose to get involved, we’d love to have you join us in serving and sharing the love of Jesus with our community.
